Dentures are one way of replacing missing teeth. The type of dentures used depends on the patient.

In some cases, you may need to have teeth removed to fit the denture. Immediate dentures can be worn immediately following the removal of these teeth. Immediate dentures are fitted to your mouth while your gums heal from the removal of the necessary teeth. Conventional dentures are made for patients who have already lost all of their teeth.

Both types of dentures can be supported with dental implants and are removable by the patient. You still need to exercise good oral health by soaking your dentures in cleaning solvent and regularly brushing your gums.
