Crowns and bridges are used to cap or replace damaged or missing teeth. A crown is used to cover a damaged tooth, while bridges replace a missing tooth or teeth.

Crowns are used when a regular filling won't work to repair a damaged tooth. Crowns will hold the cracked tooth together and prevent further cracking.

A crown is a restoration that covers your tooth. Dental crowns are used to restore your tooth's natural size and shape. Crowns also improve the appearance of your smile. Crowns look and feel the same as your natural teeth and can last for many years.

A bridge, on the other hand, is used to replace a single tooth or multiple missing teeth. Not replacing a missing tooth can allow your surrounding teeth to drift out of position. Your jaw may then begin to shrink, causing your face to look older.

Bridges are cemented in and can only be removed by your cosmetic dentist. Bridges are maintained the same way as natural teeth - by regular flossing, brushing, and dental visits.
